PROGRAM TYPES

Even though we try hard to keep it simple around here, there are a few things you should know about how we name and categorize our programs. We hope this will help point you in the right direction when booking your child’s season.

CLASSES

Sportball offers a variety of weekly Multi-sport and Sport-specific class options. All of our classes are Coached with Purpose using Sportball Methodology. All games, activities and instructions have a purpose and expected outcome. Our goal is to build your child’s confidence, competence and Physical Literacy. Our programs target three key areas of childhood development, helping them build skills for life! Weekly classes provide ample opportunity for kids to refine, rehearse and repeat the skills they’ve been working on, sending them home with a sense of pride and accomplishment and stoking their inner fires to keep going.

CAMPS + CLINICS

If your goal is to keep a child moving through school breaks and or holidays, you’re in luck! Our half-day and full-day camps have you covered. Running year-round and Coached with Purpose using Sportball Methodology, children (3+) have a blast while developing their skills for life. Our Ultimate Skills Clinics are a great fit for children (6+) who just can’t get enough sports. Clinics consist of two or three hour sessions and feature advanced skills training and scrimmages. To keep things interesting and challenging, both the sport and the drill combinations are switched up periodically.

ADAPTED

Good health is essential for children of all abilities. Sportball’s Adapted Programs provide an array of skill-building opportunities for participants with additional needs. (Including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome).

Children and young adults who participate in Sportball’s Adapted Programs are able to enhance their attention, listening, physical and social skills and improve their confidence. Our programs include caregiver/parent participation classes and drop-off classes (for participants who require minimal assistance). For optimum lesson engagement, our classes consist of individuals who share similar needs and ability levels.

PARTICIPATION

PARENT AND CHILD JR (16 months to 2 years)

Toddlers and parents/caregivers focus on physical movement and social exploration through creative motor games, songs, rhymes, stories, bubble time and more. These forty-five minute classes introduce children to a different sport each week and allow parents to guide their little ones at a pace and level that is comfortable for them. On top of being a great bonding exercise, these classes can lay the foundation for a shared life-long love of movement and sport.

PARENT AND CHILD OR ME & MY DAD (2 years to 3 years)- MOMS ARE WELCOME

Toddlers and parents/caregivers focus on developing sports and social skills together. These forty-five minute classes improve balance and coordination and allow parents to guide their toddlers at a pace and level that is comfortable for them. Classes maintain a one-to-one parent/child ratio ensuring a structured and manageable learning environment.

DROP OFF (3 years to 12 years)

Children ages 3 and up have a blast developing their independence and confidence by attending class “all by themselves.” Parents/caregivers are asked to remain outside for the duration of Drop Off classes to minimize distractions and separation anxiety.
